BERNARD NELLIGAN IS ‘BRIGHTEST STAR’

Croydon Brother, Bernard Nelligan is Managing Director of SLE Ltd – the company that has won Business of the Year at the Croydon Business Awards 2012 for manufacturing excellence within Croydon. Bro. Bernard received the award from Ria Barlabas, the head of Barclays Business who said “We are here to look at the brightest stars”.

SLE manufactures life-saving neonatal ventilators – specialist life support equipment for newborn babies which has helped saved babies’ lives across the world and now exports over 90% of its products to 80 countries worldwide.

SLE is now shortlisted to go to the South London Business Awards later this year.

 

Grand President graces Croydon May Supper

Croydon Brothers, their wives and guests turned out in numbers to support Circle President Richard Mills at the Circle May Supper.

‘Top Table’ guests included Grand President John Mottram and Past Grand President Vernon De Cruz.

The event, held this year at the Farleigh Court Gold Club, is a popular feature in the Circle calendar and a great advert for the social side of the Association.

New Bursary award

Croydon Circle President, Richard Mills presents a Bursary Fund Award of £200 to John Fisher boy,  James McDonald at the School Chapel in May 2012.

James McDonald is shown with Mr Dean (right) who has organised the trip to Ghana. Whilst there, the boys will be travelling to Ghana in June 2012 to help cocoa farmers and their children in the newly created school where they will be teaching Enterprise, ICT, Sport and Music to students of all ages.

The Catenian Bursary Fund makes many grants to young Catholics for charitable work at home and overseas.
